U.S. Constitution is 220 Years Old

U.S. Constitution
"The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. It was adopted in its original form on September 17, 1787 by the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and later ratified by conventions in each state in the name of 'the People.' The U.S. Constitution is argued by many to be the oldest written democratic national constitution. The handwritten, or 'engrossed', original document is on display at the National Archives in Washington, D.C."

Preamble to the U.S. Constitution:

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
In its infancy, our nation endured 11 years without a constitution. If you read the entire U.S. Constitution, you can see how it might've taken 11 years and the entire history of civilization to write it. For me, the First Amendment's establishment of "Free Speech" is the holy grail, the hallmark of the modern era, and the only hope for humanity. The forces of darkness are always trying to shut you up. The christian church repeatedly tried to do this to me. The worse public school teachers and the most ignorant babysitters tried to do this to me. A woman I once loved tried to do this to me. Selfish, concrete, narrow-minded thinking people only feel secure and validated when they force others to think as they do. The First Amendment allows us to speak our mind without fearing we'll be hanged from a tree as a witch.
