Blog Action Day 2009 - Whining About Wine

This year's issue is CLIMATE CHANGE. I read an article yesterday about how climate change will effect the growing of food. I was particularly upset to learn the PINOT NOIR grape will eventually lose its charm. The Oregon Pinot Noir grapes are already showing signs of inferiority. The article went on to say that the best agricultural regions will move south towards the equator. So, in the future, we may have some new terrific wines from Panama or French Guiana. Maybe the old Devil's Island site will be turned into the newest Francis Coppola Winery? Well, if the old headed and ignorant continue to have their way, at least we can look forward to a glass of wine from the DEVIL'S ISLAND CLIMATE CHANGE WINERY.
